Engage in Conversation with Visiting Artist Jill AnnieMargaret and Curator Jennifer Wren Supak at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries

Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to a special curator-led conversation with Jill AnnieMargaret, an accomplished artist and professor in the Department of Art, Design, and Visual Studies at Boise State University, Idaho. Jill's conversation with Jennifer Wren Supak, the Curator and Gallery Director, Mattie Kelly Arts Center, will take place at the McIlroy Gallery in Building 110 (Mattie Kelly Arts Center, 100 E College Boulevard, Niceville) on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Jill AnnieMargaret, who serves as Head of the Printmaking Area at Boise State University, holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from California State University. She is one of the featured artists in the 33rd Emerald Coast National Fine Arts Exhibition, and her work has been exhibited extensively across the United States and internationally.

Wren said, “Jill’s art practice spans drawing, mixed media, spoken word, and printmaking, employing a dynamic range of skills and approaches. We are interested in talking about those skills an artist develops to build a strong foundation, and practices that support a lifelong pursuit in the visual arts.”

Jill will share insights into her career path, creative process, and the materials and techniques that inform her work. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the foundational skills and artistic approaches Jill employs, as well as how she stays inspired. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions.
