This past weekend, the parking lot on the east side of The Hangout in Gulf Shores buzzed with energy and community spirit as Eco Clean Marine teamed up with Alabama Young Professionals for a trash pick-up event that combined fun, hard work, and a deep commitment to the environment.
45 enthusiastic volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work, making the most of their two-hour mission to keep our beloved waterways clean. Armed with 113 five-gallon buckets, they scoured the area and collected an impressive amount of trash, filling every single bucket to the brim.
But the event wasn't just about picking up litter. Alabama Young Professionals went above and beyond by raising $1200 to support Eco Clean Marine's ongoing mission. This generous donation will go a long way in funding future clean-up efforts and environmental initiatives.
The excitement didn't stop there. With the combined effort of purchasing 240 buckets and filling 113 buckets with trash, the team managed a total of 353 buckets – a testament to the power of community and collaboration.
"We are thrilled with the turnout and the results of this event," said Courtney Dombroski, Founder of Eco Clean Marine. "Our volunteers showed incredible dedication, and the support from Alabama Young Professionals has been phenomenal. Together, we're making a real difference in keeping our waterways clean and protecting our environment."
The event highlighted the importance of community involvement and the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together for a common cause. Eco Clean Marine and Alabama Young Professionals have set a shining example of how teamwork and enthusiasm can lead to tangible, meaningful results.
