Academic Excellence: Northwest Florida State College Students Earn Spots on 2024–25 FCSAA All-Academic Team

The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced its 2024-25 all-academic team and Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) is proud to share 57 of our students achieved this honor by participating in FCSAA programs and achieving a minimum GPA of 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale).

“All of us at Northwest Florida State College are incredibly honored to recognize our students’ hard work and academic accomplishments,” said Mel Ponder, President of Northwest Florida State College. “Their dedication to excellence sets a powerful example and reflects the core values, passion and dedication at the heart of our college community.”

This year, 1,497 students across the state of Florida were recognized for their academic excellence, and NWFSC celebrates the contributions of its student-athletes and student leaders who exemplify commitment both in the classroom and in extracurricular engagement.

Certificates honoring each student have been delivered through the coaches and advisors who nominated them. 

“We are so proud of our student-athletes for priding themselves on not only being champions on the field or court, but also in the classroom,” said Ramsey H. Ross, Director of Athletics at Northwest Florida State College. “It’s a point of emphasis for us to prepare our student-athletes for life after athletics. We are very grateful they have embraced the opportunity NWFSC has given them and put in the work to achieve these high academic accolades.”
