ADA Transition Plan For Pedestrian Walking Facilities Meeting

The public is invited to attend a meeting to discuss the City of Destin’s ADA Transition Plan for Pedestrian Walking Facilities. The meeting will take place on February 24th at 9 a.m. at the City Hall Annex (Council Chambers) located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail. The Departments of Community Development and Public Works are seeking public input on pedestrian access to the City's parks and public facilities/areas as well as suggestions on how best to improve the City’s existing pedestrian infrastructure.

The City of Destin is committed to providing pedestrian access to parks and public facilities/areas to all persons including those with disabilities. This meeting provides an important opportunity for the public to provide feedback and offer input on how to best ensure safe pedestrian access within the Community. Presenters will provide information on steps taken to survey existing conditions (sidewalks, ramps, crosswalks, etc.) and will discuss implementation plans/schedules to improve these existing assets. Written questions and comments by the public provided beforehand will be responded to during the meeting as well.

Questions and comments can be provided before the meeting at pwadmin@cityofdestin.com. A sign language interpreter will be present at the meeting.
