Eco Clean Marine - Thank You to Our Community

We at Eco Clean Marine would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the businesses and organizations who generously donated and supported us throughout 2022. Our first year of cleaning up local shores was a huge success because of you, and your contributions have helped us fulfill our mission of keeping our shorelines clean and healthy for our marine friends.

At Eco Clean Marine, we believe in taking care of our environment by picking up our trash, and we work to educate and inspire others to do the same. Founder Courtney Dombroski says, “Our vision is to inspire others to share our vision to keep the beaches, waterways, and marine life happy and safe.”

Plastic pollution is one of the major threats to the health of our oceans and waterways. It is a durable material that does not biodegrade and can affect the environment for hundreds of years. With only 9% or so being recycled, the majority of plastic waste ends up in our water sources and has a devastating effect on marine life when fish, birds, and other wildlife become entangled in plastic waste or ingest it.
In addition to causing direct harm to wildlife, plastic waste can affect entire ecosystems.

One of the most effective ways to reduce plastic pollution is to reduce our use of single-use plastics, such as straws, shopping bags, and water bottles. By switching to more sustainable alternatives, we can cut down on the number of plastics that end up in the ocean and help ensure that they remain a vital resource for years to come.

Reducing our plastic use in the future goes a long way, but it is also important to learn how to properly dispose of the plastic we do use. By doing our part to keep plastic out of our waterways by recycling and properly disposing of it, we help protect the health of water sources and marine life for future generations.

Through our trash pickup events, fish feeding machines, and educational programs, we have worked hard to raise awareness about the importance of properly throwing away trash, as well as the devastating effect of plastic waste on our oceans. We couldn’t have made the progress we have without the support of these businesses and organizations:

The Business Roundtable
Printing Zone
The Original Oyster House
Sportsman’s Marina
Shaggy’s
Flounders Chowder House
Red Fish Blue Fish
The Shack
Bluegreen Bayside Resort
The Edge
Los Antojitos

Thank you for helping us make a positive difference. Your support means that we can continue to work towards our goal of keeping our waterways clean and marine life happy!

We want to encourage the public to make a special effort to support these businesses throughout 2023, as they have shown their commitment to protecting the environment and preserving the beauty of our communities.

We appreciate your support. Good progress has been made this year, but there is still lots to do, and we are just getting started. We are looking forward to the success that 2023 will bring!
