ECCAC hosting a volunteer orientation on June 18

The Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) will be hosting an informative Volunteer Orientation on Tuesday evening, June 18,  from 6-7 pm. in their Niceville Center, 401 McEwen Drive. Volunteers are needed to help at their center in Niceville, or volunteers can help in other ways such as community events and more.

According to ECCA Volunteer and Event Coordinator Ana Michalznik, “We invite you to take a guided tour of our Center, hear about the work we are doing in the community and learn more from our therapists, advocates and prevention team. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities. It promises to be an enlightening evening, complete with light refreshments. We believe when we all work together, anything is possible to help us restore childhood joy and hope for their futures.

ECCAC’s mission is to heal and prevent the trauma of childhood abuse and neglect by providing advocacy, child-friendly therapies, and a safe environment for kids to feel seen, heard, and understood. In 2023 alone, ECCAC assisted 1,585 kids and 17,480 students received Safety Matters prevention education in area schools. Though ECCAC doesn’t house children, they provide services to children and their families at no cost in their Okaloosa and Walton County centers.

Please call or email ECCAC Client Care Manager Hailey White to let her know you will be attending, 334-343-4541 or Hailey@eccac.org.  For more information about ECCAC, visit www.eccac.org.
