Northwest Florida State College and Pensacola State College Announce Articulation Agreement for Cybersecurity

On June 22, 2023, Pensacola State College (PSC) and Northwest Florida State College signed an articulation agreement that will provide Cybersecurity students a more seamless pathway to a successful future.  The agreement was signed during a press conference in the Dona and Milton Usry Board Room on the PSC Pensacola campus.

This partnership establishes a continuity in course content and curriculum which will allow students who attend Northwest Florida State College to smoothly advance into the Pensacola State Cybersecurity bachelor’s degree program.

Currently, there are around 22,000 unfilled cybersecurity-related jobs in Florida. The demand for these jobs is high due to an expanding reliance on technology, digital transformation initiatives, and the need for compliance with regulations and standards.

PSC and NWFSC share a common vision and mission to expand access to high quality education opportunities for students.  Both colleges are part of the Florida College System, the number one higher education system in the nation.

“I look forward to Northwest Florida State College and Pensacola State College Cybersecurity students utilizing this seamless, cyber-based pathway,” said NWFSC President Dr. Devin Stephenson. “Not only will this partnership benefit students at both PSC and NWFSC, but it will contribute to filling the vast number of open positions existing in the Cybersecurity Sector.”
