Okaloosa County School District Encourages All Families to Apply for Free or Reduced School Meals for the 2024-25 School Year

As the new school year begins on August 12th, we invite ALL families to apply for Free or Reduced School Meals by visiting www.myschoolapps.com. Even if your family was approved for Free or Reduced meals last year, you must reapply for the 2024-25 school year. A 30-day grace period will be in effect, but it's crucial to complete your application as soon as possible.

Why should ALL families apply, even if you think you might not be eligible? Because you might be surprised—many families qualify without realizing it!

Students approved for Free or Reduced Meals will benefit from the following:
• Nutritious meals provided free or at a reduced cost
• Discounted SAT, ACT, and AP Exam fees
• Reduced fees on college entrance exams
This program also supports the broader community by:
• Determining school funding
• Securing discounted internet and technology services
• Establishing eligibility for grants
