Superintendent Marcus Chambers and the District staff are hosting the first annual Okaloosa County School District Angel Tree Program to support students in need during the holidays. "Every day, our schools take care of our families, and we as a District want to add a layer of support by asking our community to join us in making sure our students have a happy holiday," stated Superintendent Marcus Chambers.
There are two ways members of the public can sponsor a student. They can visit www.okaloosaschools.com to complete an online form requesting to sponsor a child. The sponsor will receive the student's age, gender, and gift requests within 24 hours via email.
The public is also welcome to come by the Okaloosa County School District office, 202 A Hwy 85 North, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm beginning Monday, December 4, and select an angel from the tree. All gifts should include the student's angel tag, be wrapped, and returned to the District office by the close of business on Friday, December 15.
