One of the primary focuses of the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation is the Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program, which provides two-year scholarships to deserving youth who may not attend college because of their family's financial situation. Seventeen Okaloosa students were recently selected to participate in the program. Each student signs a contract with their parent, promising to maintain a good school record, remain drug and crime free, and meet weekly with a mentor. Students who hold the terms of their contracts are awarded tuition scholarships to the post-secondary institutions of their choice.
Take Stock in Children Scholarships are only available to students who meet the standard criteria set by Florida's Take Stock in Children Program. For more information, visit https://www.takestockinchildren.org/
