The NWFSC Aviation Center of Excellence Hosted a Signing Ceremony for FSU and 5 State Colleges in Northwest Florida

On Monday, March 25, 2024, Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) hosted a signing ceremony at its Aviation Center of Excellence (ACE) in Crestview, Florida. Participants included Pensacola State College (PSC), Gulf Coast State College (GCSC), Tallahassee Community College (TCC), Chipola College, and Florida State University (FSU).

This ceremony served as the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the colleges, signifying their commitment to collaborate on additive and advanced manufacturing, aerospace research, and healthcare across Northwest Florida. The agreement requires that representatives of each institution meet at least three times annually to discuss potential projects, collaborate on funding, and explore other areas of potential interest.

This articulation agreement results from the continued support, financial commitment, and vision for innovation by Triumph Gulf Coast. With additional funding through Triumph Gulf Coast and potential funding from the National Science Foundation, significant opportunities arise for expanding educational programs in these areas.

“This collaboration across our esteemed institutions lays the groundwork for advancements in manufacturing, aerospace research, and healthcare,” said NWFSC President Dr. Devin Stephenson. “It is a testament to what we can achieve when academia, industry, and community partners like Triumph Gulf Coast come together with a shared vision. Together, we are setting a new standard for educational excellence."

Northwest Florida State College (NWFSC) stands as the foremost educational institution in the region.
