Fore Her invites seasoned golfers and novices alike to dust off their clubs and swing for a cause at its annual Golf Outing now in its 13th year, set for Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Links Golf Club in Sandestin presented by Emerald Coast Hospice Care. Golfers will hit the links at 8 a.m., for check-in, announcements at 8:45 a.m., and tee off at 9 a.m., for a very “pink” cause, supporting local women and men along the Emerald Coast who are battling breast cancer. Eglin Federal Credit Union partnered with Okaloosa Saves and Renasant Bank for the annual Teach Children to Save campaign April 1 – June 30. Youths were encouraged to set a savings goal and make a deposit into their savings account. Their names were entered into a random drawing for six children to win a $50 deposit into their savings account from Okaloosa Saves. On May 20, the Destin Forward Class of 2024 celebrated the completion of its class project, the beautification of Destin’s Clement Taylor Park, with a ribbon cutting. Improvements include educational signage, upgrades to the volleyball court, and the planting of Florida native plants.
